Physical Therapy: What can Physical Therapy Do for You

Physical therapy goes beyond the medical diagnosis you are referred for. A thorough examination of your musculoskeletal system will find any positional faults in joints, muscle imbalances, specific muscle weakness, stiffness, and balance issues that may be contributing to your ability to function correctly.

The most common example we treat is the person diagnosed w/ knee arthritis that physical therapy will examine and find muscle weakness in the lower extremity that affects a patient's ability to walk, climb stairs and get out of a chair, simply because the leg is too weak to create the power to do those things and the knee progressively gets sore. People have all kinds of examples affecting other body areas.

Physical therapy can help people w/ joint and muscle pain, back and neck pain, which sometimes can be referred to the extremities, headaches, weakness/deconditioning, balance/equilibrium problems, and issues related to muscle and tendon injuries.

We treat people related to symptoms related to non-injury pain issues, personal injury and work related injuries.

If you have questions about your condition, please feel free to contact us and a physical therapist will help inform you of what your options are.
