James E. Boniface, MD
Board-Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon
Dr. James Boniface was born and raised in the Youngstown area where he graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School. He attended Princeton University and graduated with a BA (Psychology with Neuroscience specialty) in 1985.
Dr. Boniface received his MD from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio in 1990. This was followed by an Orthopaedic Surgery Internship and Residency at Mount Carmel Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio from 1990 to 1995.
Dr. Boniface is Board-Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is an active member in the Department of Orthopaedic Trauma at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Dr. Boniface is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery, The American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, and the Mahoning County Medical Society.
Dr. Boniface’s practice is in General Orthopaedics, treating a variety of areas with an interest in Orthopaedic trauma and joint reconstruction, and is one of the first to perform Custom Fit Knee Replacement at Boniface Orthopaedics, Inc. and in Northeast Ohio.
